Happy with this purchase. Uses the digital audio output from a new TV and connects the other end to the receiver's input. Connecting was easy. The sound is excellent. The quality of the product feels good. The price is reasonable and arrived soon. HDMI is now the accepted way to connect audio and video. My new TV and new Apple set-top box worked fine when connected directly, but didn't work well when using an aging receiver as the switching point between them. Solution: Connect your Apple TV directly to your TV via HDMI and connect the TV's audio output to my stereo via Digital Optical and you're good to go.
