Bought 2 pairs of these boots in Afghanistan in 2011-2012. These are the best shoes I have ever owned, better than all my Nikes, Reeboks and Addidas. The only ones that come close are the Asics I had. I used them mainly because the bottom of the shoe's outsole was stiff and you run on sand and rocks in afghans and need a tuff sole for your shoes. I have plantar fasciitis and it hasn't bothered my foot.
