I replaced my home PC's IntelCore i7-4790k processor with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600. According to MSI, more than 1,200 memory modules have been tested for compatibility with the brand-new X570 chipset. I considered purchasing a motherboard powered by the B450-X470 chipset at first; however, the need to spend time and money flashing the BIOS (you need to have / purchase an old processor or go somewhere and pay money for a BIOS ate) prevented me from doing so. I almost bought the ASUS ROG STRIX B450-E GAMING, which is the top motherboard powered by the B450 chipset. Additionally, there is a chance that the old mp. won't operate with the ZEN 3 architecture (the fourth generation of RYZEN) when it is introduced in 2022, eliminating the option of upgrading the CPU without changing the mp.
