Perfect fit for our autistic son

Our 6 year old son has non-verbal autism and has recently discovered the child resistant deadbolt locks that have been fitted to our doors for several years. We had a couple of terribly close conversations where he almost ran away, and we knew we had to step up our security before anything really bad happened. You are perfect. They have the positions "Off", "Call" or "Alarm". We keep them on standby all day so if someone comes out we hear a very loud ringing sound (I can easily hear it from anywhere in the house). I like this option because we have to be in and out all day and the ringer is loud but not so terrible like the alarm goes off every time. They work with almost any door, even the kitchen door where the sensor needs to be positioned slightly open (see image). At night we switch it to an alarm that wakes us up when the door is opened. That's unlikely because we turned his doorknob to lock him in his room for the night. This may seem cruel if you don't have an autistic child, but it's the only way to keep them safe at night, as they regularly wake up in the middle of the night. We never let him cry in there or anything but our door is across the hall and we want to wake up and let him out when he wakes up so we know he's awake. bedroom window. He hadn't tried to climb out the window yet, but I didn't want to wait for him to do it. It also gives me more security at night in case someone tries to break in, especially when my husband isn't home. I highly recommend them!
