These curtains are a beautiful grayish white which worked well with my bedroom's decorations. It blocks the sunlight, keeping the room cool, especially now that we are heading into summer. The sunlight that comes through my windows in the summer usually makes my room too hot, making my AC work harder. I got these in order to keep the extreme sunlight and heat of the summer out and to maintain the cooling from the AC in. In other words they help insulate the room. They also keep most of the outside noise out. This helps me sleep better as I do not have to put up with the noise of cars passing by, which is bothersome when trying to go to bed. My husband who never notices my house decorations complemented me on how nice these curtains actually look. Also the room now remains cooler longer thanks to these curtains. They are made of a thick material and look well made. I recommend them.
