This part fits 2006 Ford Explorer. A piece of advice: if you want to get this job done in twenty minutes. Buy an EGR mounting bracket from Ford (about $40). Call Ford parts. You're just looking for a bracket (the EGR sensor comes with a gasket). The mount is not sold in auto parts stores. The screws for attaching the sensor to the bracket are usually welded in there (two 10 mm screws). Don't waste time removing screws when you can buy a mount. Remove the bracket (two 8mm screws), I should say unscrew it as the case is attached to it. Screw the new sensor onto the new bracket and screw tight. Connect and done. The exhaust pipe can be loosened with an adjustable wrench. Remove and access the fan assembly. Save $200-300 and say goodbye to the Check Engine light. 8mm and 10mm. Deep rosettes and an 8mm open end are required.
