To be honest, my first impression of this product was not very good. The instructions are barely adequate and the information provided is almost non-existent. It appears they were written in Chinese and translated using Microsoft Word. I couldn't find any information on how long the flashlight needs to be charged before use, but it turns out that the light on the back of the charging connector changes color from yellow to green when a full charge is reached. Installation was easy and took less than a minute. My attitude really changed when I turned on the device. It's very bright and I love the random pattern of the blinking selections. There are multiple options from constant to variable blinking patterns and speeds. The side laser bars are much more visible in the garage than on the street, and they also have three options. Tarmac doesn't reflect the laser the way concrete does, but I'll reserve a final opinion until I've had a chance to ride in darker conditions. Overall this seems like a great price and a very well thought out product.
