I really like this machine. I use it on an area of about 200 square feet. This room is open to the rest of the house and cannot be closed off. I don't let it sink in all the time. I turn it on in the morning when I get up and turn it off before bed. In between, I let him work at a high level all day long. The device is in the office where we watch TV. The volume on high is not intrusive at all. In fact, I don't even know it works. It doesn't bother watching TV at all. There was something in that room that made it difficult for me to breathe. Now that this device is on I have no problems. I never found what was causing my breathing problems, but whatever it was, this device seems to have solved it. The device is very easy to clean. There are certainly better devices for a lot of money. This one works for me.
