Review on Enhanced Extech SDL100 ORP Meter Logger by Mark Jefferson

This ORP meter has been working like a champ for over a month. on "Self-test" when switching on again. After disassembly, I found moisture in the compartment where the module plugs into the USB stick. Blown out, allowed to dry for several hours and the device returned to self-test mode. The unit failed to self-test today and after calling FLIR the tech walked me through a "soft reset" which did not fix the issue. I was then put through to CSR who asked for my bill and said a new pad would be sent to me as soon as possible. The service was excellent, I received the new product on time. It seems that this device is really not well designed to regularly replace the ORP module with a pH module and maintain a watertight status. I recommend making sure the block assembly is tight upon receipt and, if you need a pH meter, buying a separate product. I will only use this device for ORP testing and will not submerge it past the module lock nut.
