If you're hoping to customize them, set a timer and let them run as long as you like, you'll be disappointed. The timer worked one day, after that the light either didn't come on at all or came on at different times each day (usually a few hours earlier). Removing the batteries and resetting the timer didn't help either. In the end they just gave up and stopped using them. If you turn them on and off manually whenever you want to use them, they make great glowing icicles. Strong, bright, with good light movement/pattern.
