I have a lot of film, old and new, that needs sorting and scanning and scissors just can't cut it (pun intended). This cutter works very well (so far) for what I need. My only complaint is that even though the bottom is transparent, the amount of light coming from my light bar is greatly reduced. With low-contrast negatives or when the image fades towards the edge of the image, it can sometimes be difficult to see the end of the image. Positive film has the same problem when the image is dark around the edges, but is generally easier to work with.
