When folded, this umbrella is 20.25 inches long and weighs 1.4 pounds. This makes it longer and heavier than any of my other umbrellas. It also offers more coverage - 48 inches at the base - and is much stronger. I've used it in winds that would have turned any of my other umbrellas inside out. By pressing the pop-up button, the umbrella opens gently and can be easily retracted by hand. The cladding consists of alternating light and dark gray panels. It's attractive and simple. If you're in a drizzle, you might need something lighter and smaller. But if you want to stay dry in a big storm this is a very good choice. I gave four stars because it's a bit long and heavy. This is probably unavoidable if the screen is to be this strong.
