Review on GAMMA2 Gamma Seal Lid - Secure Pet Food Storage Container Lids for 3.5, 5, 6, & 7 Gallon Buckets by Ryan Gilliam

Poorly made, preventing defects Sealing

The first negative was the smell. The ring has a very bad odor that will probably dissipate over time, but I have no idea how long this can last. I wouldn't seal a bucket of food with it until it's completely evaporated. The sight of the rings attached to the bucket sparked even more disappointment. The rim of the ring, which should be in contact with the underside of the rim of the detachable part, has four dots that look like decorative strips. Two of these are dents and the adjacent beveled surface that mates with the gasket is deformed and flexes slightly towards the bump hole. I don't know if this is enough to prevent printing. The other two lightning fragments are ledges. One is pretty small. The second is quite large and strong. It also prevents the lid from rotating enough to close it. Both lids I received have the exact same imperfections and neither will seal until I remove that burr which I don't expect to be that easy to clean despite it being an 'easy' job. I don't feel like I should either. I would not recommend buying these caps online. Go to a store where you can inspect them before you buy them.
