The picture shows both the case and the screen protector, therefore any imperfections on the screen are due to the screen protector. I bought the "clear black" version because crystal clear cases like this *always* turn yellow over time and my NW-A55 is black anyway, so I figured it would fit. NW-A55. It doesn't add any volume at all; nevertheless, the device feels very small and light. The side buttons are a little harder to press, but with the protection the case offers, it's more than worth this very small compromise. To access the memory card slot you have to remove the case, but it's not difficult. However, if you do this a lot I can see that it might wear down the case - I have other cases of this type for other devices and they tend to fray and break if you bend them too much. However, I don't think most people need to access their memory cards that often. The case comes with two protective films. I royally ruined the first one, which is probably why they give two. The second one is better and *almost* perfect. I never buy 100% screen protectors and I can't say I'll keep them forever, but if you're going to just toss your player in your bag, you should probably put it on. These screen protectors come like any other; You just have to be careful and follow the directions on the labels when removing the front and back pads. Some application tips: 1) Thoroughly wipe the screen of your Walkman with a microfiber cloth immediately prior to application. It should look like it just came from the factory. 2) Remove the "back" pad by holding it upside down (so the back side is facing the floor), leaving the "front" pad on and *holding the back side down*. The moment you flip it over, you'll never get a dust-free and bubble-free look because microscopic particles immediately settle on it and stick. Therefore, keep it facing down and immediately place it on the blank screen of your Walkman and align it carefully. 3) Remove the back "front" with the tab. Try not to let it lift the entire tread, but you can smooth it out later if needed. It's still hard to get it perfect and my photography is as good as it gets. (I only have a few tiny blisters.) This setup also came with a wrist strap as well as a neck strap. It's difficult to put one of them on, but it's more of an A55 design than a strap. Overall I'm happy with it; and you really get a lot for your $8.
