This is great for all the reasons listed on the product. My small fish are safe from other big fish. When a female starts giving birth to weed babies, you can put her in there with an internal grid and the mother can't eat the babies; when the babies don't come back. It floats a few inches above the waterline to keep babies from jumping out. There is also a trellis going on top to hold the jumpers. I liked having 2 of these so I can keep one clean and switch back and forth if one gets dirty. Sometimes you need two because your children can be in one and the mother in the other. If the male gets too aggressive, you can cool him off by separating him from the rest of the females.
