I never couldn't hear the speaker because it didn't charge the battery after 12 hours of charging and didn't work even with direct current. There was probably an electrical defect that caused both problems, but I sent it back anyway. Too bad, because it came with nice features like a mute button, volume control, and headphone jack. It was packaged very well with no signs of physical damage. It's a shame to constantly waste time and money shipping components with birth defects due to poor quality control or cheap parts from these foreign countries. What happened to "Made in America"?
