Just installed a depth gauge. It works perfectly. There are no problems synchronizing the display with the sensor. We have a display mounted about 60 feet from the sensor. You need 6 AAA batteries for the sensor and 2 AA batteries for the display. The display was easy to program with the included instruction manual. My aquarium is about 8 feet deep. With a quick glance you can see how much water is left in your aquarium.
