My boy measures Neck 18", Chest 31" & Back length 24". so I ordered the XXL. It is a bit long on his back & he keeps trying to grab it when ever it touches his tail. LOL! I suppose he'll get used to the feeling. As soon as he smelled/touched the soft interior, he was pushing at it trying to get his head in there! Yes it is a bit cold here, but that does say something for the softness of this coat. I chose this coat because he needed something to help keep the water off when it is raining & he needs to run outside to take care of his business. One thing I found a bit odd/different than other dog coats/sweaters we've bought is that this one has flat elastic straps to put the rear legs through. Hoping he does not pee on them when he lifts a leg outside! Time will tell.
