Review on ๐Ÿงผ Dupli-Color ECM543000 Single Paint Grease and Wax Remover Soy-Based, 32 oz.: Ultimate Solution for Clean and Smooth Surfaces by Jairo Cunha

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just in case, I took a can of microfiber paint.

I used this in preparation for a recent touch up on my 2016 Mustang. Here's what I did: 1. Washed the car with Meguiar's Gold Soap. 2. Hand dried with a large towel. circled the spots on my bumper/bonnet that were touched up with a touch up pen (plain window paint marker). 5. Sprayed two tone prep spray on the areas I wanted to touch up. Simply spray on quickly and then dry with a microfiber cloth.6. Just in case, I took a can of microfiber swabs (small, toothpick-like tools that pick up 1/8th of a drop of paint) and dipped one or two in rubbing alcohol to give a final clean of chipped paint. 7. Apply some primer if necessary, then apply some color. The rest is a matter of building up layers of paint and then leveling them properly with various sanding blocks (I found the wet sanding of the 2000 worked well for me and resulted in minimal scratches). clean surrounding paint). Buffing out light scratches makes the touch-up stains almost invisible unless your face is inches from the stain and someone points it out to you. This prep spray worked great for me. It is much stronger than you think and is NOT safe to spray onto freshly painted surfaces. I learned this the hard way. After applying my initial primer to my retouch, I sprayed it over it while trying (silly move), and when I wiped the surface clean with a towel, I was back to bare metal with a swipe. Towels. Ha! While you can probably clean the car's surface of gross dirt/grime and then use that as a final prep, I still preferred to sand the surface first. Depending on how dirty the car is or how long it hasn't been detailed, you may decide it's worth doing. This will make the final part of your project a lot cleaner as I noticed that when I sanded the "blobs" there were very light scratches in the area I was working on. lighter than your standard car wash).
