Kryptonite is the industry standard for a reason. These locks are easy to use and although heavy and somewhat bulky, give a good sense of security. However, the longer bar can be a bit more difficult to store on the bike, especially when using bottle cages. The memory attachment system has been improved compared to previous lock models. Previous kryptonite locks I've used included a plastic clip that was difficult to attach and detach from the lock without breaking, not to mention a nightmare to install on a bike. With the new mounting kit, the plastic components are slightly larger but much stronger. The release mechanism is less prone to breakage, and installation of the kit involves the use of a webbing and metal buckle (the bike is protected by a rubber insert) that are firmly attached to the bike frame. Be careful though, as bike frames with non-circular frame members can be a little tricky to assemble.
