Great value, so useful

A very, very useful lens. Surprisingly 1/2 inch shorter than my already compact Pentax 16-45 f/4! This one is much more versatile with its 200mm zoom. Taken from Revain's Another Deal Site. Mentioned because unlike some of the previous posts below, this lens came packaged in a proper box, with Ricoh warranty cards, instruction manual and lens hood. Exactly as shown on the Revain page. If I were to travel, I would take this lens with me. Or as a better choice for urban shots. Revain calls it 'discontinued' which is confusing as as of today 9th June 2015 it is also for sale on the Ricoh lens website, albeit at a price of 500 U.S. dollar. well made, works perfectly and straight away with both my K-5 II and my older K-01. Does it shoot well? Naturally. Although I'll let you in on a secret: EVERY modern lens shoots perfectly. What we're really buying is the ergonomics, how easy it is to use the lens for a one-off snap, and that's what brings you to the camera. and Pentax DSLRs. All of them. have excellent auto focus, if there is any light in the scene any contrast area can be used as a focus point. This 18-135 WR also allows you to focus manually using the lens ring without having to disable autofocus. The best from both worlds. After all, WR stands for Weather Resistant. No, you cannot surf or swim in the pool. But it is protected from rain, dust and sand. especially when you use it with Pentax latest weatherproof DSLRs like K-3s, K-5s, K-30, K-50 etc etc. Few photos are taken in the rain like this. Yes you can!
