Parts of this waffle maker are really good, others leave something to be desired. Not bad overall, but not above average in terms of quality. The actual cooking element is the best. It's pretty hard work. Unfortunately, it is surrounded by some sub-pair parts. For example, the controls are out of the box and the Knowledge seems so cheap that I fear it will break with sporadic use. They say it's easy to clean. This may apply if you never want to wash it with soap and water. It's just not practical. The hob is screwed. You cannot take it off to clean it. The plates don't come off either. The best you can do is wipe them off. There is a removable drip tray. It's easy to clean. Nothing to complain about when it comes to cooking. He does his job and does it well. There are some suction cups on the bottom to help keep it in place. This manufacturer has a strange combination of metal and plastic parts. If the plastic was better and the handling better, this would be a top product. If there were removable parts it would be even better. Anyway, this is a decent waffle maker, not a great one. UPDATE 12/14/21. So, I said cheaper parts might be an issue. On the fourth use, one of the plastic clasps broke. It prevents you from flipping items. The only way around this is to stick a piece of plastic or mentality in the slot and bypass the security feature. This is simply unacceptable. Nothing should break on the fourth use. I'm taking that down to two stars.
