As I sew a lot with regular black and white thread (previously it's been hand sewing - I recently got a sewing machine) I thought this would be a good buy. NOT CORRECT. The first project I made on my new sewing machine used black thread. Upon opening this case, I realized that there were many things wrong with this item. First, the case doesn't stay closed - the clips weren't broken off or anything - it's just flimsy and won't stay closed even when placed hard or dropped from 1 to 3 inches onto a table. Second, 12 coils. are divided into 4 sections. I've found (when buying other empty and pre-filled sets and bobbin cases) that it won't stay in place if each bobbin doesn't have its own bobbin. No matter where I put this set, the case would open and the coils would fall out unless placed in a drawer or on a table. Find the beginning of the thread to unwind and install on the machine. Generally a waste of money and time.
