I had an older Westmark apple slicer that had worn out over the years, a few blades fell off so I checked Westmark and other brands and quickly settled on Westmark's Gray 10 slicer. It's sharp and durable, with firm pressure cuts to the end, and delivers ten large slices of my favorite Granny Smith pie apples. The slats are firmly attached to the frame and should stay in place for a long time. Washes off easily, don't expect it to wear off before me, many cakes in the future.
