The individual containers are strong and large so that everyone can hold enough fruit and/or spices. only medium sized, but cutting everything ahead of time is a huge time saver, especially if you're making a lot of different drinks at once! did. I poured tap water on the bottom of the tray and placed each cup container without the fruit, spices etc. and then covered the cups with plastic/saran wrap to keep them in place, then placed the entire tray in the freezer. I made this the night before the party and the next day when all the fruit was cut, it went straight into the coolers! It was a hot and muggy day so I didn't want the fruit to go bad, but it worked well and we didn't lose anything.
