I really like these headphones for all gardening. I usually use a lawn mower or brush cutter and they just muffle all that noise. If you remove the noise completely? No, it doesn't, but it definitely dissipates most of the noise while removing the rest of the noise from music or sports sounds. The device has its own default settings, but you can change them. It has both AM and FM radio, which I really like. I can listen to my music or just listen to the game. The signal is pretty strong, at least where I am. It has its own antenna to provide the best signal and if needed the antenna can be adjusted to be away from your head. The sound in the headphones is pretty good. You can connect it to your MP3 device if you want. It has a built-in rechargeable battery that can be used continuously for about four hours with the radio and radio on. It fits my ears fairly well and doesn't cause any discomfort, although I have to say that the material does get slippery when you sweat. These are over-ear headphones and noise canceling to a point. That pushes on the head. They're adjustable and overall I think they're easy to use and great for distracting noises. The controls are fairly simple, but I recommend setting the presets in advance as it can be difficult to switch channels while scanning.
