Works on most cars of this era. Not mine.

Worked great after I modified it. The sides of the blade curve upwards. I assume this is for centering the window or door handle during the disassembly process. In my case, I'm working on a 1960 Mercury. The base of the handles is too wide to fit in the instrument. As a result, the blade is almost 1/8 inch from the clip you are trying to remove. Rather than just return the tool and get the job done, I sanded down the problematic metal to smooth it out in the end. Once I did that, I was able to get the clips off on the first try. Works great now.
