I bought this motherboard to install a Windows 10 home server that will mainly serve media and personal files around the house. Why I bought this board: Decent chipset in my preferred form factor Plenty of USB6 ports SATA ports M.2 drive access BIOS power saving options Price was great Thunderbolt port was a bonus Everything was simple and easy to install. No surprises. What was surprising was that my system would not boot after everything was installed. The RAM lights on the motherboard came on, telling me there was something wrong with my three sticks of Ballistix Sport RAM. These are the sticks that are on the compatibility list, so I have no idea what's wrong. I've used the same flash drives in two other Gigabyte boards and another AsRock board with no problems. So, knowing this, I should have assumed that this MSI board is defective. I checked the MSI site and their service couldn't send you a new board while the defective board was on the way. When I send the board in for service, it can take several weeks for my system to run. Luckily, Revain accepted my return and refunded my purchase. I've since switched to a different board brand.
