1. Mine came unassembled so it looks like they took note of the 2020 feedback on the curled edge issue which now appears to be resolved. Second, mats are lightweight, durable, and inexpensive - *BUT BE CAREFUL*. "Connectors" DO NOT WORK! These are not "connector mats" but rather square-edged rectangles with small 4-cornered rubber hardware (see promotional photo) that supposedly snap under each mat and connect them. But they don't really stay. Don't actually "snap," the mat simply sits over the connecting tabs until someone steps or walks on the mat. then each piece of mat is detached from the connector. Plan to ignore the connectors and use black zip ties. But then, of course, you can't take it apart to clean, move or reconfigure it. This means that the mats are technically well suited for outdoor use where the smell of tires is irrelevant. Note, however, that they generally don't pair well unless you're using MacGyver.
