Review on Intel Core i7-8700K: Unleash the Power of 6 Cores, Turbo Boost up to 4.7GHz – Perfect for LGA1151 300 Series Desktops! by Adam Borkoski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

Review of 8086k I moved to it from 6800k, so I will build a review on comparison) I don’t play games, only work and there are no “equals” in the rendering speed of 6800k-6850k (in the sense of 6 nuclear scientists) . but it’s much more comfortable to work with graphics with 8086k because there is more performance per core and turbo boost delivers up to 5 GHz, in the end, you work all day, and render for 20 minutes, so it’s the speed of work and not rendering that is more important for me. Oddly enough, I liked the temperature at 8086k more . for example, 6800k WITH PIPOEM at 4.3 warmed up to 82 in the stress of Aida, and 8086k at the same 4.3 (that is, in stock) in the same Aida with its long-suffering thermal paste under the lid gave 72 ! 72 Carl! Who writes there that he is in stock grryachiy buy noctua d15 everything will be fine) @Addition@ the percent is NOT scalped and took a light frequency of 5.2 for all cores and 5.0 for the cache (the mother of asrock z370 extreme 4) set the voltage to 1.33 (in fact llc 1 gave out 1.36) did not conduct stress, since they only fry the percent to no purpose and neither what kind of real stability in the load they don’t show, instead I took a large project (usually not stable overclocking gives blue on it) well, I worked with it, then I installed the render . the percent did it with a bang! Oh yes, in bluebench15 I hit 228/1699. Of course, 8086k at such a frequency is hot - 83 was at the peak, but 65 on average. in idle time 35. I think it was possible to pile on 5.3. to dangerous voltages and there was still room for throttling))) As a result, I left 5.0 / 5.0 cores / Cache permanently, with Vcore 1.31 .

Pros
  • Nice quality box Limited Edition type only 50,000 copies (hard to believe in this) Not hot in stock Turbo boost works well Price (at the time of writing cheaper than 8700k) In 8086k, only selected chips are taken (judging by the tests, it looks like the truth)
Cons
  • Minus - multi-threaded performance in real work applications compared to 6800k-6850k (not counting all sorts of benches)
