I have a new iPhone 13 mini with a Spigen Ultra Hybrid Mag case which is very similar to Apple's transparent Magsafe case and has a built in magnet. The magnetic connection to the cell phone is very strong, holds the cell phone without any problems. Note that my device comes with a round metal plate that attaches to the mount, allowing the plate to be used on non-magsafe phones. When I tried to attach my phone without removing that metal plate first, it didn't hold up well at all. So please remove the metal plate first!
