I tried to use this on my son who is 8 years old he was very uncomfortable with it. It's harder for me to cut his hair, to hold myself with a ring around him. I thought it was a great idea to use and avoid getting hair on the floor but it wasn't worth the effort. It was difficult for me to work around him. It caught most of the hair but still fell to the floor as my son kept fidgeting. I kept it but cleaned it, didn't use it after the first time.
