I've been looking at the reviews for this product and despite some bad reviews lately decided to buy it anyway. A number of reviewers said the flannel was of poor quality and too thin. This is not my experience. Flannel is much better than the often quoted "buy a cheap tablecloth and hang it up". The flannel on mine is beautiful, with an even weave without the sloppiness of a cheap tablecloth. yes he is skinny But it allows the 2 inch mesh on the vinyl to show through. This is very useful when designing while quilting and for block arrangements. As far as holding quilted blocks or even fairly large sections, it works well for me. By the way, the "instructions" say it should be hung on a flat wall with no windows, door frames, etc. to make the blocks stick better. If I had the luxury of such a large space, I would do something different. Instead I hung it over window frames, window sills and a flat wall. This works well if you're careful to flatten the blocks on some sort of "flat surface" behind the frame. Who do I recommend? Yes. I just ordered another one as I'm working on multiple projects at the same time.
