Ideal for small dogs as long as they are not confident or smart; it's really easy to tip over and move. My little dog was smart and just pushed him aside as nothing could hold him. It stands on its own, but only when it's not completely straight did I have to stack things around it to keep it in place, which kind of defeats the purpose. My little one loves to move it too. Maybe it would be good for a big rabbit? In addition, it is well made. Despite all the times he's fallen, he still seems to be in good shape.
