This cat house is pretty good. I have an adult cat that weighs about 13 pounds. She jumped into the house as soon as I got on the bars. She sits down and turns around with no problem. The size of the house is approximately 12" x 12" and the walls are 1/2" thick. The door opening is approximately 7.25 x 7.25 inches. Assembly was very easy and quick (about 15 minutes from unboxing to full assembly). My cat prefers to sleep on top (about 13-14 inches in diameter). She doesn't scratch posts but I've only had her for about 2 weeks and she still prefers my couch as her favorite place to dig. The top perch is the perfect height as the tower is next to my desk so she can sit and look out the window and I can pet her whenever I want. She also likes being bigger than a dog and when I get up the tower she's easy to pet when she's on that perch. The mouse is very cute, it is attached to an elastic rope, but the first time you played it detached from the mouse so now only the rope is hanging from the top platform. This isn't really a problem as the mouse can still be played with and the rope can easily be cut off, or if yours breaks too just tie it around the mouse's tail and give it a second chance! Overall I think this is a great cat house that gives my cat the perfect place to sleep.
