Which suction? for squeegees

Tried to use the item today when it arrived. Attach the suction cup to the wall and leave it for a few seconds. I put a scraper in it, after 2 seconds it fell off the wall. Not to fool myself, I tried the trick by gently wetting the outer edge of the suction cup. Without a mop it didn't even take 2 seconds. Actually a good mop. did a great job removing water from the shower door and sides.
