Great for entertaining kids.

Perfect for car rides with kids. We bought some inexpensive DVDs for a recent trip and our son spent hours watching them in the back seat of the car. The kit comes with a car charger but we didn't need it as the battery lasted a long time. The picture and sound quality is good and definitely good enough for a child to see Spider-Man. I don't let him carry the player around because I'm afraid he'll drop it and break it, but it's fine for a car.
