This fluffy/shaggy duvet and pillowcase from Mr. Sandman offers a convenient way to keep your duvet clean with a unique look and feel. It's easy to put on a blanket. shamrock. It was a solid zipper on one side that opened fully at the corners. To secure your duvet there are six internal ties to keep it from bunching up. I used it with a medium weight comforter and it held it in place well. My insoles only had 4 bindings; However, there are two additional center bindings for different quilts. The ties are thicker than most I've tried so they will hold up to prolonged use while holding the comforter in place. This is a definite plus. Cushion covers complete the ensemble wonderfully. Upon unpacking, the case was very soft and fluffy. I did notice a slight "plastic" smell so I washed it inside out with the zipper closed on the gentle cycle and then dried it. This eliminated the odor and preserved the softness of the cover, but some parts of the out of focus side appeared dull afterwards. After one wash I was disappointed that after only one wash as instructed it looked old and worn. The zipper has held up well in the wash and the duvet is still soft and comfortable, it just looks worn in certain spots. I'm a little unimpressed. On the one hand you have a nice shaggy fur cover for your duvet, but ultimately the duvet serves as an outer protection. If it looks worn out after just one wash, what's the point? There are many other duvet covers out there that look great after a few washes...but this isn't one of them.
