I bought a house that smelled like cat pee on the hardwood floors under the carpet and in the basement on the cement floor. I followed some instructions online for fumigation which involved using vinegar instead of bleach and then this stuff. The basement was so bad we had to do two treatments with vinegar and that stuff but it was worth it. In the basement I literally poured vinegar everywhere, laid a clear paint tarp overnight, pressed it down the drain, poured a layer of this substance, laid the tarp overnight, pressed it down the drain, and repeated again for both. The smell was gone forever and that was a big part of the treatment. I used the normal advanced formula for the first round of fumigation, but there was still a slight odor. So on my second round I ordered the one that said "cats only" but I can't tell there's necessarily a difference. Both did their jobs as far as I could tell. I only got this version because it was the improved formula version and had a better price when reordering. I suspect that if I use this I might only need one processing cycle, but I really think it's probably the same formula. I do not recommend reusing on hardwood floors. Once or twice isn't a problem, but my parents use this material almost every day and it has ripped off the protective layer and worn off the color of the wood.
