Keeps my little one out of many compatible closets. Compatibility depends on where you can attach/install the latch in the cabinet. This may not be possible with some cabinets. I don't think it's the company. We leave some of the magnetic locks on the fridge, they scratch it so we leave it somewhere else. I bought these because my toddler was figuring out how to pick other types of locks. Locks - strap locks - at 11 months. It definitely prevented my toddler from accessing many things. Adults can end up frustrated with their own inconveniences, but it's worth it.
