Very nice putting machine. The balls will return to you whether you hit the hole or not. I like the 2 hole sizes and the green surface has markings to identify specific distances. The ramp takes a little getting used to, but I think it helped me get better after a few days of use. Can be used by both left- and right-handed players, but the way the ball return is set up is best for right-handed players. The smaller hole is still a problem for me, but after a little practice I almost always get pretty good at the big hole. The base has a pine wood holder and frame and wood pieces that fit in the hole. sides and connect with magnets. It takes about 2 minutes to install and can be hidden in the box it comes in if you can't always get it out. The ball return works great and the blade has a nice dark finish and stylish design. The rug's material is designed to mimic real green, and that seems fine. In addition to practicing hitting the ball in the hole, I used foot markings to practice hitting the ball exactly 5 feet or any other target. This set contains 4 balls, but you can add your own balls as the ball return is long and can hold many balls if you want. 4 balls are stored in the ball holder which also acts as a stopper if you hit the ball too hard. I had a few balls off the ramp but that was when I first used it and got used to the incline. All in all a really nice home or office with a green ramp. Would be a nice gift but I use it myself in my home office. Haven't tried it on carpeted floors, I expect it will work fine on low rugs, but it works very well on hard floors and doesn't move at all. I'm not a very good golfer and I have particular problems with putting. I don't always have time to go to a local putting class and it was a good way to practice and also take a break from what I have to do. It was more fun than I expected and relaxed at the same time. Good product, it's much nicer than I expected.
