I have these magnet holders in a saddle wheel trailer and in the cab above the motorhome. I put it in the cockpit because I got one for my Ikea fifth wheel many years ago. Especially where cabin space is such an advantage over an RV (especially when compared to a three-outlet retractable fifth wheel). This is the best option for removing sharp objects from small boxes. We mounted ours on the left side of a range hood, keeping the knives between the vent and a small space behind that wall on the left. I've bought one long enough that I have hanging space for metal spatulas and knives to really free up drawer space (I only have two drawers, so yeah). As for the ease of installation, it took a little time. "do" and we had to use different screws due to the location and drill some holes in the metal of the vent to install it. But the effort is worth it. 5***** for the magnetic power of this rod.
