So I ordered this set and a separate OXO wooden spoon, also made of beech (https://www.amazon.com/OXO-Grips-Large-Wooden-Spoon/ dp /B0000CCY1R ) When it arrived the three piece set was very rough and unoiled, although the listing said it had a natural oil finish. It was a stark contrast to the OXO wooden spoon, which was smooth and oiled. When dealing with Revain I always wonder if I somehow got a fake article as I've heard many stories about it. Anyway, I shrunk with sandpaper and did my best to smooth the wood down to the same quality as a spoon. I'm still in the long process of applying mineral oil. At the moment I needed at least 7 applications. Anyway, just wanted to warn people that the design is great, but it seems to take a lot of effort to make it usable. It may be better to try and buy these items individually and hope they arrive in the correct sanded and oiled condition.
