Great BUT don't forget to grease it like a wooden cutting board with coconut oil, olive oil or lard before first use. They'll last longer and won't dry out or crack when you do this!

I wanted good spoons for my enamelware and they got the job done in a few weeks. I understand they aren't ready yet so I make sure to hand wash them every time I use them, dry them quickly and apply mineral oil to keep them from drying out. Unfortunately, this did not help, and the largest spoon soon cracked in 3 places at the tip, which are slowly moving down. I'll keep using the smaller ones until they fail too, but next time I'll use a different brand.

I just don't know where all these positive reviews are coming from. OXO is a well-known brand of cookware, but these wooden items just don't cut it. Little did I know I had to oil a $4 wooden spatula before and after use, which is pretty ridiculous. There are only a few uses of a wooden spatula in the photo, and a slotted spatula was not used. would not recommend

I was frankly disappointed. I'm used to Oxo products being excellent. These spoons seem sturdy enough, but the finish is pretty rough, to the point where it looks like they might chip (no, I didn't find a chip on them, but still.). I've had much cheaper wooden spoons with a thinner and smoother surface than this one. I put some oil on them after using them but it really didn't matter. Maybe that's because of my high expectations.

I bought these spoons after seeing them at a container store and loving them. It's strange to say it's a wooden spoon, but it's of high quality, with an excellent thick handle, feels good in the hand, has a deep indentation at the head and looks good. Cookware made of wood is best. They are more durable than some with a decent grip. The size of the handles are not as bulky as the large nylon/plastic handled tools I replace. They fit easily in my utensil holder (the large stainless steel holder I bought from Revain, link below) - alongside the other 20+ most-used items (egg beater, spatula, rice cooker, etc.). I like the size of these spoons and the flat bottom is surprisingly practical. The spoons feel solid, with thick handles that are comfortable to the touch. However, they become rough and faded after just 1 hand wash! Turns out these spoons need oiling/seasoning. what does that even mean? These spoons are very good. They have an interesting shape - a little more "scoop" than a typical flat wooden spoon and a larger and more comfortable handle. I like them and I think they will do the job very well. When I first got them they didn't seem very rough, but after the first wash the surface of the wood opened up a bit and they were noticeably rough so I sanded and oiled them.
