Cookware made of wood is best. They are more durable than some with a decent grip. The size of the handles are not as bulky as the large nylon/plastic handled tools I replace. They fit easily in my utensil holder (the large stainless steel holder I bought from Revain, link below) - alongside the other 20+ most-used items (egg beater, spatula, rice cooker, etc.). These are hand wash but I put them in the dishwasher anyway - with a shorter express wash or quick wash, but I do NOT use a heat dry or longer wash on them. I've been washing all my wooden utensils this way for years.
