I like the size of these spoons and the flat bottom is surprisingly practical. The spoons feel solid, with thick handles that are comfortable to the touch. However, they become rough and faded after just 1 hand wash! Turns out these spoons need oiling/seasoning. what does that even mean? I only found out about this after coming back to read the reviews when they got so bad after first use. There is no indication in the product description that these spoons are not ready to use when they arrive. Seriously, I've never oiled a spoon in my life, and my last set took forever! I can't decide if I'm amused or annoyed that OXO (a really good brand, btw) thinks the average person knows anything about $3 kitchen utensil grease.
