Slightly rough finish.
I was frankly disappointed. I'm used to Oxo products being excellent. These spoons seem sturdy enough, but the finish is pretty rough, to the point where it looks like they might chip (no, I didn't find a chip on them, but still.). I've had much cheaper wooden spoons with a thinner and smoother surface than this one. I put some oil on them after using them but it really didn't matter. Maybe that's because of my high expectations.
