I have one of these in my BMW Z4, after much research, options like windshield (NG in New York), cup holder (only in closed console) and CD (locks all elements management) were no snacks. This one works great. So when my new BMW 330 (2019) came on board and I didn't want to rely on Apple CarPlay, I needed a different mount. Not a single CD player trying to salvage the cup holders decided I would try again. Still early. The air conditioning vents are a bit tricky in this car. The holder is mounted on the deflector on the LEFT of the steering wheel - this is a novelty. and work on a stable version is ongoing. I'll keep trying, especially since many cupholder-style devices get bad reviews and can jam vital HVAC controls.
