A simple solution to an annoying problem

Living in my current home, the master bathroom sink always has an annoying leak from the faucets whenever you turn the hot knob. It wasn't enough to justify immediate action as the sewage was going down the drain anyway. Well I finally decided to do something about it and break it down and spent about 15 minutes researching the most common causes and solutions. When I first started working on the Delta grip, it was clear that this was the first time it had been serviced since it was installed. There was a lot of limescale (very hard water where I live) that I had to use WD40 to loosen, but once I got in the water it was a breeze. Picked up a cartridge from the Delta website, ordered it from Revain and fixed the error for money only. I'm glad I didn't waste the landlord's time on this as I really don't care if I have to spend a few bucks to do something myself. According to Delta's website, the cartridge doesn't come with a small insert spring/seal in the retainer, but that didn't stop the cartridge assembly from fixing the leak. Like new.
