I ordered a different head collar before doing research but returned it because it has a safety clasp that attaches to your dog's regular collar. This is definitely the surest way to ensure your dog can't take off if they accidentally slip out. The sizing chart is correct as the large fits my standard 5 month old poodle but has enough room to grow with him. I would highly recommend this collar to anyone trying to train their dog for a gentler treatment. I definitely recommend following the directions and training your dog to wear it gradually with treats. It will take a little longer, but if you don't, your dog will immediately have a negative experience that runs counter to your ultimate goal. I was very lucky as it took my pup less than 5 minutes to put it on her. When we left she pulled away from him a bit but I just distracted her with a treat and she did very well. I got this leash because no matter what I'm doing, my pup always wants to run forward after being in the treatment position for a while. This helps her stay in place with a light, easy tug, rather than correcting her with a collar or bribe with a treat every time.
